Professional Bio

Desmond Campbell is on the board of Our Watch and is the First Nations practice lead with Social Ventures Australia. Desmond is of the Gurindji (Southern Western Desert) and the Ngalakan (South-East Arnhem Land) people. Desmond has worked in numerous roles in the domestic and family violence prevention space in community-run programs, policy development, and Territory-based and national public policy framework development and implementation. Desmond has participated in various government funding assessment panels as an expert advisor for the Department of Social Services and Territory Families, Northern Territory Government. Desmond has been an invited speaker at various domestic and family violence prevention conferences, and is a strong advocate of Aboriginal men and women working in partnership to stop violence against women and children.
